VACANCY FOR RIDING YARD PERSON / COACH
(35.00 hours pw – Job Share considered)
The Unicorn Centre requires a yard person to start as soon as possible. BHS coaching qualifications to deliver our expanding range of lessons would also be an advantage. RDA Coach training will be supported for coaching disabled riders including on the Centre’s Dressage Horse Simulator. Weekend working on a rota basis. The salary would be based on the National Living Wage.
The Unicorn Centre, a registered charity based in Hemlington, Middlesbrough is a member group of the Riding for the Disabled Association, providing riding therapy and learning opportunities for children and adults with additional needs. The Centre has modern purpose-built facilities and 13 horses to deliver its activities which also include a Supported Volunteer Programme, RDA Dressage Horse Simulator and equine fund-raising events.

VACANCY FOR SUPPORT WORKER FOR OUR SUPPORTED VOLUNTEER PROGRAMME
(30 hours pw)
The Unicorn Centre requires a Support Worker immediately for 30 hours over five days a week. Job share would be considered. The salary would be based on the National Living Wage. Four weeks fixed holidays per annum.
The Unicorn Centre, based in Hemlington, Middlesbrough is a member group of the Riding for the Disabled Association, providing riding therapy and learning opportunities for children and adults of all ages. It also delivers a multi-award-winning Supported Volunteer Programme. The Centre has modern purpose-built facilities including indoor and outdoor arenas and an RDA Dressage Simulator.
This post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure. The successful applicant will be aiding participants on our Supported Volunteer programme and will need to demonstrate a sound knowledge and experience of horse care and working with/supporting people with disabilities.
