APPEAL FOR CHARITY CASH FOR PONY
The Riding for the Disabled Association’s Unicorn Centre based at Hemlington, near Middlesbrough, is appealing to all its supporters to vote for £3000 funding.
The Centre has been shortlisted for a Lloyds Bank Community Award of £3,000 and is through to the public voting stage, which closes at 11.59pm on Thursday 31 October.
Centre Manager Claire Pitt said, “Earlier this year, very sadly and unexpectedly, the Centre lost much-loved pony Blue. Blue is absolutely irreplaceable but with your votes wecould use this award to buy a new pony to provide weekly riding therapy for local disabled riders. £3000 would be a massive help, and I hope that everyone will vote for us.”
Voting can be done by logging on to https://communityfund.lloydsbank.com as well as texting VOTE LKNC to 61119.
