RIP Mike Walton
There will be some of the Unicorn Centre "old timers" who will remember former Trustee and Chair Mike Walton.

Today (21.11.25) we received a Will Bequest of £10,000 to be used towards our staff costs. What a mixed set of emotions: incredulity, gratitude and sadness due to the circumstances. We don't know who made the bequest, but to the family who made it happen, we send our heartfelt condolences on your loss, and our grateful thanks for your amazing kindness at such a sad time.
FIVE-YEAR PLAN TO SAVE MIDDLESBROUGH’S UNICORN CENTRE RIDING FOR THE DISABLED CHARITY
A five-year plan is being drawn up to secure the long-term future of Middlesbrough’s Riding for the Disabled Unicorn Centre (RDA), just weeks after the charity was set to permanently close.
Come and join us at our Annual Fun Dog Show on Sunday 28 September.
We're very proud to introduce our farrier Steven Beane to you.
Aimee completed her #greatnorthrun2025 in aid of the Unicorn Centre, and she's still standing! Here's her latest post:
Some very sad news to tell you. Under our vet's advice it was recommended that it was time for Spider to leave us, and very sadly he was put to sleep during closedown. He passed away very peacefully with Cheryl by his side.
Enormous thanks to a lovely workplace team of volunteers from AXA Insurance and our own volunteers, staff and Trustees for all their hard work over the last 2 weeks during our annual maintenance closedown.
After 12 years of outstanding service to the Unicorn Centre, our lovely Spider has retired.
We gave him a good send-off and a sash and long-service medal to say thank you.
