As we continue to celebrate Volunteers' Week 2026, we are awarding Certificates of Recognition to many Team Unicorn volunteers with a big "thank you" for their support. 

From 1–7 June, we join thousands of charities and voluntary organisations across the UK in celebrating Volunteers’ Week — now in it's 42nd year. It’s a moment to reflect on the incredible time, care, and support volunteers have given over more than four decades, and the life‑changing impact this has had on so many people.

Our famous Unicorn Day will be held on Sunday 12 July.

Our talented Supported Volunteers have been very busy with their arts & crafts projects and have set up a gift shop to sell lots of their lovely goodies in aid of Unicorn Centre funds.

Woo hoo! We won £2000 at the Teesside Family Foundation Together for Teesside event today (14.05.26).

A SPECIAL ARTWORK, A POWERFUL CAUSE

Talented local artist Vicky Tucker is currently creating a stunning original unicorn painting to help raise vital funds for the Centre so that the Centre can continue providing life-changing therapy, confidence, and joy to its riders from all over the Tees Valley region.

Meet Houdini, the hobby horse kindly donated by LeMieux after one of ours escaped at one of our Hobby Horse shows recently and never came back home.

Our Supported Volunteers entered the RDA National Creative Writing competition and they brought home some fabulous rosettes for Team Unicorn!
