VACANCY FOR SUPPORT ASSISTANT FOR OUR SUPPORTED VOLUNTEER PROGRAMME
(12 hours pw: 2 x 6hrs)

The Unicorn Centre requires an Assistant for 6 hours per day over 2 days a week including some weekends. The role is suitable for someone wishing to do a job share. The salary would be based on the National Living Wage.
Business and Development Manager Vacancy
The Unicorn Centre in Middlesbrough opened in 1998 as a purpose built riding Centre and member group of the Riding for the Disabled Association, with aims to enrich the lives and experiences for disabled children and adults.
This new post will take a leadership role and join a small and committed team.
You will find new opportunities to grow the Centre’s work and manage the infrastructure which underpins our activities. Working closely with Trustees, the new Equine Operations Manager and other staff and volunteers, you will help shape the future of the Centre and ensure its continuing success.
You will
• Identify new opportunities for the Centre
• Lead on the Centre’s fundraising and grant application activities
• Lead on the Marketing, Communications and Public Relations of the Centre
• Lead on the Centre’s work to promote Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity
• Lead on the Centre’s volunteer programme
• Manage the Centre’s finances.
• Manage staffing procedures
• Manage the Centre’s facilities
• Lead on Health and Safety matters
• Develop and implement policies and procedures that support the Centre’s operation

Part-time 24 hours a week (0.6 FTE)
Salary £30,160 (pro rata)
Leave 28 days (pro rata)

Equine Operations Manager Vacancy

You will focus on leading and working with the existing Equine Team to be able to meet the needs of the Centre’s activities and the delivery of coaching and other activities to participants. Working closely with yard staff, coaches, volunteers, the new Business and Development Manager and Trustees, you will help shape the future of the Centre and ensure its continuing success.
You will
• Lead on all matters relating to the Equine Team
• Monitor the composition of the Equine Team
• Lead on the management and the operation of the Yard
• Lead on the delivery of coaching
• Lead on special events involving the Equine Team
• Lead on the provision of Equine Therapies
• Support participants and volunteers
• Lead on Safeguarding
