COME AND MEET A UNICORN AT THE UNICORN CENTRE
Our hugely popular Unicorn Day party is returning to Hemlington on Wednesday 12 April after a three year break due to the Covid restrictions.
Visitors are invited to come along to look around the Centre, meet lots of Unicorns, and take part in Unicorn-themed activities and fundraising events. Children will be able to ride a “Unicorn” pony in a magical indoor woodland glade, and meet baby ‘Unicorns’. There will be craft stalls, Unicorn activities, raffle, tombola, bottle stall and refreshments on offer.
Chair of Trustees Jackie Rubin explained, “Unicorns are so popular with children, and we will have plenty around the Centre to meet and ride.
She continued, “This is an important fundraiser for us as we are trying to raise funds to upgrade our field fences. It also helps to raise our profile and show people how many opportunities we offer to the local community, besides riding, including horse therapy and volunteering.
Unicorn Day will be running from 10am to 3pm, and entry is free. Unicorn pony rides for children 5 years and over will be £10 each (2 for £19) and must be pre-booked. There will also be a baby ‘Unicorns’ for children to meet at £5 each. Riding sessions on “Blackberry”, the Centre’s mechanical horse, will also be on offer on the day for older children and adults.
The Unicorn Centre is based at Stainton Way, Hemlington accessed along the drive adjacent to the Cleveland Police Community Safety Hub.
