LAST MINUTE APPEAL FOR CHARITY CASH
The Riding for the Disabled Association’s Unicorn Centre based at Hemlington, near Middlesbrough, is appealing to all its supporters to vote for £5000 funding.
The Centre has been shortlisted for a Lloyds TSB Community Fund award of £5,000 and is through to the public voting stage, which closes at 11.59pm on Sunday 9 September. Two out of the four Teesside organisations shortlisted will win £5,000.

TEAM UNICORN TRIUMPHS AT CHAMPIONSHIPS
TEN riders from the Riding for the Disabled Association’s Unicorn Centre have returned triumphant from the RDA National Championships in Hartpury, Gloucestershire.
And skewbald pony Murphy 1 didn’t let the side down, as generous donations following a last-minute appeal enabled him to have a new tail extension to enhance his good looks. Rider Gavin Beaty’s Mum commented, “I’m sure that his fab new tail helped him raise his game, as Gavin and Murphy won the Championship in the Countryside Challenge. I’m so grateful to everyone who helped them.”

THE SORRY TALE OF MURPHY’S TAIL
SKEWBALD PONY Murphy1 will be competing next weekend with his rider Gavin Beaty at the Riding for the Disabled Association’s national championships at Hartpury in Gloucestershire, but his tatty tail could well let the team down.
